Gulnara Karimova, who heads the Public Council of Kelajak ovozi (Voice of the future) Project, the largest youth contest in Uzbekistan, awarded 45 laureates of the contest. The final round was held in the format of a conference where the participants had to present their projects and defend them by answering the questions of the Public Council composed of culture and arts professionals, scientists and education specialists of Uzbekistan.
This new format of the final part of Kelakaj ovozi is a novelty. The winners of the contest presented their projects and works, demonstrated their talents and mastery to experts, public figures and peers. The final conference of Kelajak ovozi was held on the same day as the Fund Forums online report conference.
This year as many as 63,364 boys and girls from all over the country participated in the contest. The innovations in the format and conditions of the project have drawn increased interest in the project not only among the youth but also specialists and observers.
The winners of Kelajak ovozi-2009 will receive an educational grant enabling them to study at universities (for applicants) while those already enrolled will be allocated special stipends provided by Kelajak ovozi.
